VIDEO: Holy Schnikes! Pastrana and Block at it again

Click above to view video after the jump
Already a certifiably insane pair, Travis Pastrana and Ken Block have upped the nuttiness yet again. Going after the money shot for the cover of RacerX Magazine, an Impreza and a MotoX bike took to the wild blue yonder in search of photographic gold. We think they managed, and we'd repeat the jumps over and over whether or not the perfect shot was already on the memory card, just like the airborne teammates. Hit the jump to watch video.

that's simple. it's not that hard, if you ride motocross bikes (i dont). sure does look cool though.

Both stunts seem difficult. However, just because they are done together doesn't make them more difficult.
That's like me making a half court shot while another guy is jumping in the air to dunk off a springed contraption.
He's not stopping me from making the shot and I'm not stopping him from dunking. We are just using the same basket.
Maybe if they used one ramp and were headed toward each other... blindfolded then it would have been exciting.

I'd call it a lot of things, but "simple" isn't one of them. Granted, Pastrana has done that stunt enough times he can probably pull it off asleep with no arms now, but for mere mortals its a recipe for a broken back. And arms. Or legs.
Good fun to watch, though.

They both did the same thing they do every day just on the same course at the same time. It's spectacular, but as news worthy them colliding would have been.

"jumping a car 70 feet isn't that hard". nice.
If you've ever done any sort of sport that involves tricks, you know that just because you've done something once doesn't mean that it's a piece of cake. It always requires dedication AND concentration. Add a weird variable in there and it makes it that much harder.
well done guys.

not really impressive. what would have been impressive would be a stunt where block starts off in his rally car inside a plane and drives out the back at 15,000 feet. At the same time, in a different plane, pastrana drives out the back and starts backflipping. A separate skydiver catches the shot you see above. Then, pastrana leaves his bike, enters the car, and has tea with block until they land on a ramp in the grand canyon.
That sounds about right.

McRae probably would have tried it. Or die trying and blame it on a helicopter, may he rest in peace.

And no tea is spilled.

Those of you not impressed by doing a back flip over a car on a motorcycle go ahead and shoot a video of yourself doing one and post it on youtube. I wanna see it.
