Baby on Bimmer: BMW Sauber F1 child seat
The branded luxury trend gets even bigger and much, much younger with the BMW Sauber F1 baby seat. And what would such a baby seat be without some BMW engineering? The side bolsters move in relation to the seat height, which means the seat "grows" with the child. If only your kid's shoes did the same. It doesn't have side airbags, but it does have a belt carrier, and it's good for from 33 to 79 pounds, or 3.5 to 12 years old. Thankfully, it looks way more comfortable than an actual F1 bucket, and imagine being able to tell your friends that you got your first F1 seat when you were three.

If I ever have a child, I'm so going to get that for him/her.

For mine, I was looking forward to the moment when he'll get rid of the actual seat. But this seat... it's cool. For those fathers and mothers out there: the extensive white portion of the seat will gradually change to other colors quickly -:(

This is great. Now where can I buy one? There is such a disconnect with good booster seats. I could care less if it has a BMW logo on it. The real question is if its going to leave indentations on my Range Rover leather seats?

Kind of lame that they went the conventional (3-point) path when there are other, better (5-point) designs out there for toddlers, like the Safeguard Go.

The Britax Regent is a great 5-pt seat too. My 4-year old rides in it and is quite comfortable, and he's the size of a 7-year old.
That BMW seat looks mighty similar to the $50 Graco Turbo booster seat...

It looks like a typical $50 Graco carseat with Beamer fabric which will probably inflate the price dramatically.

Believe me, this is the farthest thing from your 50 buck Graco car seat!!! This puppy is most likely made by the only company that knows how to make proper car seats...Recaro!!

Oh, and it'll put you back a bit more that 50 bucks!
