Brazil: VW CrossFox facelifted
Volkswagen's diminutive front-wheel-drive soft-roader, the CrossFox, available in South America and Mexico, is set to receive a mild facelift soon, according to El Diferencial. Brazil will see the revisions first. The front fascia is smoothed out following the deletion of the grille bar and the relocation of the driving lights (they're more low-profile and spaced farther apart). The CrossFox side graphic gets reduced in size and is joined by the stylized fox logo, too. And that, friends, is the extent of the changes. The 103-horsepower four-cylinder underhood is unchanged, as are the rest of the car's mechanicals.

All we know is that the CrossFox looks pretty cool to us. Add it to the list of forbidden fruit we'd love to have a shot at.

cross fox is my dreaming car but i live in iraq ther was no cross fox in iraq.
i love this kind of car i think its most beautiful design in the world..

WHAT? Crossfox isn't the ugliest car of the world, but you'd love to have it? You don't know how bad this car is compared with your lowest priced cars :oP

VW needs to go back to it's roots in the US market. They are trying to be a luxury brand when they are not. Audi is VW's luxury brand. VolksWagon essentially means people's car, but now most people can't afford to own one. Claiming that they have 3 models that start under $17k is like Ferrari saying list is under $200k on a car. Options add up quick and a bare bones car is impossible to find at a dealership. They need a new people's car such as this or perhaps a Polo for under $10k.

I agree with the above.. VW should make more cars like this, at very low prices, and leave the expansive ones to Audi..
Btw, I also think VW's should stop trying to look like Audi's.. Not the case here, tho..
And about this car.. Well, I think that dash looks pretty poor..

Whatever you guys feel for this car, well, I don't. Living in Brazil, I just can't come to terms with the fact that they charge almost 30 thousand dollars for a car this size, with terrible power and almost completely devoid of creature comforts. It's outrageous since in the U.S. you can buy a decent Honda or Toyota for that price.

Believe me, you don't want a shot at this car or any other Brazilian produced (not only assembled but designed and built) VW. They are really bad cars, with terrible interiors and serious reliability problems. Mexican built VWs are a million times better.
For example, here in Colombia they sell the CrossFox for 28000 dollars (imported from Brazil) and the Mk4 Jetta (imported from Mexico) for 27000 dollars, being the Jetta a car in a much higher league. That CrossFox is like a Chevy Aveo in engine, fit, finish and overall quality, just add the hideous plastic fenders.

Brazilian built VW's are the worst in the world. the interior are crap, ergonomics almost doesnt exist. the foreign built VWs, because of the HUGE import taxes in brazil are prohibitive to a great majority of the population. The fox sold in europe, looks the same as the one built here, but inside is a whole different car. we take any junk with the vw badge, its incredible.

Well dang, sounds like this thing is just an expensive POS... too bad, I really like the styling. This is one small car I'd actually consider driving... not that it really makes much difference as it will probably never be sold in the US though.
