VIDEO: Hyundai Tiburon
The Hyundai Tiburon has won a lot of fans that want a stylish sports coupe at a bargain price. Having unveiled its latest revised version at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China and then in Paris, the Korean carmaker has hit us with this promotional video.
The clip features some artful cinematography, placing the new Coupe (as it's plainly called in overseas markets) in dramatic settings to highlight its styling. Some of the car's features, like the blue LED instruments, six-speed shifter and air intake hole (yes, "air intake hole" is considered a feature now) are underscored in the promo video, which ends with the question, "What do you worship?" While we doubt many people would testify "a Hyundai" in response to that question, the video's still worth watching.

That's some pretty hard dirt for the wheels to squeal like that.

Sound mix. Done in the ad business all the time. Sounds from the shoot are rarely used in final cut. These days most of the visuals aren't even actally shot. Far cheaper with CG and in most cases yield better results.
It's still a nice car, but the facelift seems too subtle and doesn't really wow me. It's just more of the same to me.

My thoughts exactly Brennan. I was actually in the middle of writing the same thing.
Back on topic though. The video was quite dramatic but it seemed to add to the car in my opinion. It was more enjoyable to watch than most everyday car ads.
Funniest part of the video was calling the "air intake hole" a feature. That comes as standard equipment on us humans too but ours can double as a pie hole.

NO WAY. My world will never be the same.
Not thrilled with the redesign, as the Ferrari design cues are gone, and that front bumper looks like it belongs on a 3rd-gen Celica.

?? Did the site lose a few editors? Is someone on vacation? For about the past week the level of updates has been absolutely terrible...

I like it. But that front bumper kills the whole design. The interior looks pretty nice, though...

Any possibility of fitting in the Azera 3.8 into that 300 0 lb coupe?

Does anyone else think the sentences in this clip make absolutely no sense?
"The intellectual appreciates myths?"
"The dignified value the aroma of cigars?"
Okay, that's just a little bit ridiculous... good looking male models they included, though...
Okay, all that aside, even way back when all of Hyundai's cars sold in the US were complete crap, I still always thought the Tiburon had its merits. I still think it does, even though I agree that the front does remind me a little too much of a Celica.

Who the hell wrote those sentences for the ad...the smell of cigars??!?!?!?
Who tries to sell people cars by saying it smells like cigars.

do not worry here in Europe Hyundai is (oooppps, was) the same story, except for one of my friends 95 Hyundai Sonata, that is oddly not falling apart like other "techo wonders" from this car manufacturer. Hmmmm... That Hyundai of his, allways makes me wonder ... and talking about Halloween - maybe it is cursed :DD

The Tiburon isn't a car I would put on the top of my list of fine coupes on the market, but it is a cool-looking car for Hyundai. If Hyundai is putting this much money into its sport coupe's advertising, I hope it puts a good amount of cash under the hood. The Tiburon needs a high-output V-6 to be competitive against the Ford Mustang GT and the Nissan 350Z.

So...the new Tiburon is like a gay male model?
to #11....the Tiburon were never really priced to compete with the 350z. Its more likely to compete with Civic SI, MS3 and RSX S...

Well, this car is around since 1996, and it's more than time for a new model, not another restyling (it's the third)...

Okay Mr. Know-it-all. Why don't you be the first to explain it to someone else then. Dipshit.

And why would it do that? The three aren't even in the class or price range.

it's still just a tiburon, and all of its marketing points are about 8 years too late.

Yeah, it would be nice with the 3.3 or the 3.8 instead of the 2.7. After this facelift I think its being put to sleep for something else though. Dont they have a RWD platform on the way?

To those thinking some of the lines look ridiculous: This is from another country, hence it being called the Hyundai Coupe. The real thing thats funny is why do a lot of these type of videos use English when it's not that countries native language.
I actually think that the Tiburon is a very nice looking Coupe. Given better power, I would consider one (like the Sonata's 3.3l) but that 2.7l mill is getting pretty long in the tooth and 185hp is not that much.
