Lapping Lime Rock with a legend: Alan McNish and the RS4
Our quad-ring obsessed friends over at Fourtitude had the honor of experiencing the new RS4 under the expert direction of none other than Allan McNish. Before setting out on a hot lap of the Lime Rock road course, the former DTM champion, F1 driver and current LeMans winner waxed poetic about the ground-pounding power of the Audi R10, how it differs from the R8 and what the man himself drives during his down time.
After dropping off our Fourtitude friends in the paddocks, McNish and his teammate, Dindo Capello, went on to pilot the R8 to its final victory before being sent into retirement and the loving embrace of some lucky museum curator.

Very sad that AUDI is following the "muscle car" in terms of larger engine design instead the smaller more agile engine with turbos that have brought AUDI so much recognition and fan base !
As beautifull as the car is, it's lacking a turbo or two IMO !

#1, the 4.2 v8 supposedly weighs no more than the previous twin-turbo six.

That is an awesome video. I want to see the other four laps, as he took it kinda slow on the first one. Still, what an awesome car.

While I agree with what you are saying I would hardly call a 4.2 liter V8 "large" by any stretch of the imagination. This is especially true given the fact the car exceeds the 100 hp per liter mark.

Chewy,
Agreed, I would like to see the rest of the laps, because during the first lap you always warm up the tires and brakes before turning up the wick.
