The Indianapolis Star is reporting that French agribusiness giant Louis Dreyfus Corp. is about to begin construction of the world's largest biodiesel plant near Claypool, Indiana.
The facility combines a soybean processing plant with a biodiesel production plant, turning about 50 million bushels of soybeans a year into 1 million tons of animal feed and 80 million gallons of biodiesel.
Two other biodiesel plants and six ethanol plants are also under construction in Indiana.
[Thanks for the tip, Jay]
