All the sales data for 2013 has been reported by every automaker, which means we have the numbers to sift through to find the 10 worst-selling vehicles of 2013. Unlike the best-sellers, this infamous list of ten isn’t bragged about in press releases, so we have to compile the data ourselves.

Like every year, we do have parameters to ensure the list includes legitimately bad-selling vehicles and not just canceled vehicles and the playthings of the uber-wealthy.

The first and most important qualifier is a starting price below $100,000. This clears the list of supercars and ultra luxury vehicles, otherwise it’d be full of Ferraris and Rolls-Royces. The second is that a vehicle must have been on sale and in production for the entire year, which excludes cars that were cancelled like the Volkswagen Routan. Some vehicles, like the Acura ZDX, Volvo C30 and Cadillac Escalade EXT, will be cancelled in 2014, but they were produced and sold all of last year as 2013 models (the C30 did end production sometime in December). Lastly, we only consider vehicles as they’re reported by the automakers, which means the Golf R earned a spot this year because its sales were reported separately from the standard Golf and GTI, but the Murano CrossCabriolet remains, sadly, ineligible because its sales are lumped in with the Murano.

With Suzuki officially out of the picture in 2013, a few vacancies needed filling on our list. Scroll down to see which cars earned the ignominious honor, including a new worst seller of the year, a vehicle that recorded the lowest annual sales we’ve seen in the past three years.
