David Richards’ firm Prodrive will finally unveil its P2 sports car this weekend at the Autosport International Racing Car Show in Birmingham, England. The P2 is based on Subaru mechanicals and features an Impreza engine that’s been cajoled to produce 345 bhp. That motor is enough to launch to P2 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 174 mph.

Sounds fun, right? Unfortunately not even the uber-rich among us will be able to buy the P2, as
Richards tells Autocar the car was produced to showcase the firm’s engineering abilities, as well as prove to his
team of engineers and designers what can be done when they put their collective heads together.
