OLEDs in more production models

picked up the story on more cars featuring OLED displays. OLED stands for organic light emitting diode. That basically means they’re brighter, easier on the eyes and sap less power. Yet we’ve been unable to find what the heck organic light is. Any help? The new Corvette and Jeep Grand Cherokee feature OLEDs and it would be safe to say more models may adapt them down the line.
