Mercedes-Benz is on a roll today with all of the special edition models. After showing off
three new models to celebrate the 50th anniversary of AMG, the automaker released info on new trims for the SL and SLC-class convertibles. Round two of the special editions add a suite of new appearance upgrades inside and out.
The SL
designo Edition package is available on both the SL450 and SL550 convertibles. Not that the SL is lacking on posh, but the new package cranks up the luxury dial to 11 with new high-quality materials inside and out. Customers can choose between the Brilliant Blue Metallic or Cardinal Red Metallic paint, with 19-inch wheels up front and 20-inch wheels out back.
The interior is full of
designo badging to match the upgraded leather, trim, floor mats, and white seat belts. The car comes with new ambient lighting and a three-spoke steering wheel. Standard equipment includes the neck warming AirScarf, Active Multicontour Seats, and a suite of active safety features.
While the SL-Class focuses on luxury accoutrements, the SLC RedArt Edition adds a host of sporty accents. The package is available on both the Mercedes-Benz SLC300 and the Mercedes-AMG SLC43. Both cars come in Selenite Grey, though the SLC43 comes with a matte finish. The grey is accented by red accents on the wheels, front splitter, air intakes, and rear bumper. Inside, the red and grey theme continues with unique seat upholstery and contrasting stitching on the dash and steering wheel.

designo Edition and SLC RedArt Editions will be available in the US this summer.
