James May moves from Top Gear to Top Chef

James May has started a cooking show. No, you didn’t read that incorrectly. Join the (not officially) former Top Gear host as he makes pasta alla carbonara.

Can someone please head over to Hammersmith and check on James May? Please. We’re a bit worried about the (not officially) former host of Top Gear, as he’s now complementing his newfound hobby playing the recorder (check out his rendition of The British Grenadiers) with a YouTube cooking show. Seriously.

Both the recorder and cooking show can be found on the YouTube channel JM’s unemployment tube. The selection is rather limited, and includes a five-part tutorial on making shepherd’s pie and a two-parter on pasta alla carbonara (with eggs from the farm of one Richard Hammond), which was just uploaded earlier today.
