After months of teasing short clips and putting out vague Tweets, the first trailer for
The Grand Tour, an Amazon Prime Series starring
Jeremy Clarkson,
Richard Hammond, and
James May, was released. And it’s glorious.
The first trailer shows the trio pulling a page out of the old
Top Gear with supercars like the
Ferrari LaFerrari,
McLaren P1, and
Porsche 918 Spyder, drifting around a track, sports cars in exotic locations, and adventures where one of them gets injured (watch to see who).
The Grand Tour obviously has a large budget, with outrageous stunts that include blowing up an old GMC with a tank.
This trailer could give
Top Gear,
even with the show’s new layout, something to worry about.
The Grand Tour will premiere on November 18th, as an Amazon Prime exclusive. Fans of the old
Top Gear will surely enjoy the trailer, as the Chris Evans-led reboot failed to bring the same foolery and humor that we loved.
