WCSX-FM, a Detroit area classic rock station, is raffling off a 1965 Le Mans convertible — cloned into a Pontiac
GTO. The vehicle has been refitted with a 609-horsepower engine, HD radio system, and custom paint,
chassis, body and interior work. In its third year, WCSX’s “Stone Soup” charity raffle benefits the
Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan, and takes cash, donated parts, and in-kind labor from individuals and car
shops in the area to turn a burned-out chunk of a car into a beautifully-restored classic. In a new development
for 2005, General Motors called up the radio station and offered a 2005 Pontiac GTO to place in the garage next to the
winner’s ’65 model. The station is still selling raffle tickets, so you’ve still got a chance to win TWO gorgeous
vehicles.
