For the last few years, Mooneyes has been producing an EFI (electronic fuel injection) system with the vintage look
of Stomberg 97s. There is an array of set-ups available starting with a tag of $3600 for a basic 3×2 model. Placed
inside the throttle body, the system promises the usual advantages of EFIs (modern technology to deliver and monitor
the charge). While winning multiple design awards in the community, the induction set-up was even featured on a recent
episode of “American Hot Rod.” Which, depending on perspective, simply translates into big expense with very little
nostalgia.
