Remember when you swore that you weren’t going to wait until the 11th hour to shop for a Father’s Day gift after last year’s last-minute fiasco? You don’t necessarily need to sound the alarm yet, but only 10 days remain until the big day. So if you haven’t picked out a Father’s Day present, it’s officially time to spring into action before it’s June 20 and you’re wondering whether or not you can get away with giving dad a tie or a “Best Dad Ever” mug (again).
If your dad, or another father figure in your life, loves working with his hands, buying him a new wrench set for Father’s Day is never a bad idea. You can also get a fantastic price on the Workpro 20-Piece Combination Wrench Set at Amazon right now, thanks to a limited-time deal. It typically sells for $40, but it has been marked down 30%, making it only $28 at the moment, which is a steal for such a comprehensive set of high-quality wrenches.
This set consists of 10 wrenches in a variety of SAE sizes (1/4-, 5/16-, 11/32-, 3/8-, 7/16-, 1/2-, 9/16-, 5/8-, 11/16-, and 3/4-inch) and 10 wrenches in an assortment of metric sizes (6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 mm). The wrenches are made of chrome-vanadium steel and chrome-plated, making them tough and durable enough to withstand the rigors of auto repairs and home improvement projects.
Additionally, the wrenches in this set feature 12-point box ends and offer a much better grip on fasteners than 6-point box ends. They also come packaged in a pair of roll-up tool cases, providing ample protection and making them easy to identify. Whether you keep the set for yourself or give it as a Father’s Day gift, it will be well worth the $28 you’ll pay.
“Craftsmanship meets intelligent design” is how one reviewer described the set. “I used these wrenches throughout my house, on my car, and in hard-to-reach places, and I was left delighted by their excellent build quality,” they wrote. “The wrenches are smartly designed and expertly made. It’s the perfect set.”
Others mentioned that at-home mechanics, in particular, are likely to fall in love with this set. “If you’re like many DIY mechanics, your tools are a mix of hand-me-downs and one-off purchases,” a shopper wrote. “This set will change all that. You get a full complement of SAE and metric wrenches, all for a great price.”
