Keeping hedges, shrubs, and lawn edges trimmed can make a big difference in how a yard looks, but hauling out large landscaping equipment isn’t always necessary. For smaller jobs, compact cordless hedge trimmers and grass shears are often the better choice. They’re lighter, easier to maneuver, and perfect for quick touch-ups around flower beds, sidewalks, and decorative bushes.
With this limited-time deal we found at Amazon, the Vervewave 20V Cordless Hedge Trimmer is on sale for just $37, down from its regular $80 price. This compact 2-in-1 tool works as both a grass shear and a hedge trimmer thanks to interchangeable blades. It’s also designed to work with DeWalt 20V Max batteries, making it an especially convenient option for anyone who already owns tools from the DeWalt ecosystem.
The tool comes with two different blades that can be swapped in seconds depending on the task. A 3.6-inch blade handles grass trimming and edging along sidewalks or garden borders, while the longer 7.9-inch blade is designed for trimming hedges, bushes, and ornamental shrubs. Powered by a motor capable of reaching 1,400 rpm, the tool provides plenty of cutting performance for routine yard maintenance.
Despite the power, the unit stays lightweight and easy to handle. It weighs just 1.8 pounds, which allows for one-handed operation when trimming along tight edges or shaping smaller hedges. The cordless design eliminates the hassle of extension cords, making it a great option for quick yard work anywhere around the property. Safety features are also built in, including a blade guard, safety locking mechanism, and soft start function to help prevent accidental activation.
“This grass shear and hedge trimmer works great. You can change from grass shears to hedge trimmer in a snap. If you already have DeWalt batteries, this is a great deal.”
“They are sharp and cut easily through the bushes and hedges. As advertised, the DeWalt battery operates the tool without issue.”
