A carport is the easiest, least expensive way to create a spot to store your car that’s protected from the elements, freeing up your garage for other uses in the process. Carports that come with doors and sidewalls offer the best level of protection and right now, Walmart has a well-reviewed carport that fits the bill on sale with a major discount.
The Sanopy 20-Foot by 20-Foot Carport is on sale for $360 at Walmart, 44% off its normal $640 price tag. While two colors have sold out, the gray option is still available. Shipping is unfortunately $70, but given that this discount is $280, you’ll still be saving a lot of money on a sturdy place to stash your vehicle.
Rare DealThis carport is primarily a heavy-duty, reinforced steel frame and a 160-gram waterproof polyethylene cover. The latter has a coating that makes it UV-resistant, waterproof, and tear-proof. And unlike most carports that are “some assembly required,” this one has four removable sidewalls with mesh windows and a roll-up door. These features up the protection from the elements and make this carport more suitable for outdoor entertaining on hot summer days. Built-in sandbags, windproof ropes, and ground nails keep this carport secured to the ground even when the weather gets rough.
One shopper wrote that they “love my Sanopy carport” because “it has mesh windows on both sides that can be used for fresh air and covered when needed.” Also impressive? The sturdiness of this carport in notoriously bad weather conditions. “I live in Michigan and was afraid it wouldn’t be good in the winter,” they wrote. “I was wrong. It keeps my car snow free and provides a safe place for me to park.”
Other customers agreed that this is a “good quality carport” that also provides “good shelter for an outdoor event or work.” So even if car storage isn’t a priority, this carport would be useful as a shaded space for a summer soiree or even a temporary shelter for doing lots of garden work.
