About 75% of American cities see snow each year, but the amount varies from one to the next. Some Southern cities, such as Atlanta, only average a couple of inches annually, while those up North, like Buffalo and Syracuse, routinely get well over 100 inches. When shopping for a carport to protect your vehicle from wintry weather, consider how much snow your city typically receives and choose accordingly.
The Riedhoff 11-Foot by 20-Foot Metal Carport is ideal for those living in the snowiest cities. It’s also an enticing option for anyone looking to score a fantastic deal on a carport, as it’s currently on sale for almost 40% off its regular price. It usually costs $1,120 at Walmart, but for a limited time, you can order one for $700.
Popular PickMeasuring 11 feet wide, 20 feet deep, and 9 feet tall, this carport is super spacious. Even if you park a pickup truck, a boat, or another large vehicle inside, you’ll still have lots of room left over for other things, including lawn care equipment, power tools, and patio furniture.
This carport is also incredibly strong, thanks to its heavy-duty frame constructed from steel poles. It’s designed to withstand winds up to 75 MPH, and its rust-resistant finish helps prevent corrosion that can weaken the structure and cause stability issues.
But this carport’s roof is ultimately its most attractive feature. Made of tough, durable sheet metal and set at a steep 120-degree angle, it’s built to stop snow, ice, and debris from accumulating. It also has a 7,700-pound maximum capacity, so it stays strong even with a mountain of snow and ice on top. In a real-world setting, it can safely hold about 28 inches of settled snow, 21 inches of wet snow, or 7 inches of solid ice.
“Wow,” one reviewer wrote. “What an excellent carport. Its easy assembly process should only take a couple of people. Just be sure to use deep, solid anchors to keep it steady.”
