Outdoor solar lights are a smart way to brighten up dark areas around the house without adding wiring, outlets, or extra electricity costs. They can help light up a driveway, patio, porch, walkway, garage, shed, front door, back door, garden, or side yard, which is especially useful during summer evenings when people are outside later. Motion-sensor lighting can also make it easier to see where you’re walking, check on vehicles, grab tools from a shed, or add a little extra visibility around entry points after dark.
The Ocest Outdoor Solar Lights are part of Walmart’s Summer Deals sales event, bringing the two-pack down to $29, which is over 50% off its normal $60 price. That’s a solid discount on a pair of solar-powered motion lights with remote controls, dusk-to-dawn operation, three lighting modes, and a split solar panel design. Each light has a 270-degree sensor angle, a 6500K cool white output, and a motion-sensing distance of about 10 to 20 feet.
Top SellerThe separate solar panel is one of the most useful features here because it gives you more flexibility during installation. You can mount the light where you need brightness, then place the solar panel up to 15 feet away in a better sun-facing spot. That makes it easier to use around garages, sheds, eaves, roofs, doors, patios, and shaded areas where a built-in panel might not get enough direct sunlight. The three modes let you choose between motion-only lighting, dim all-night lighting with brighter motion activation, or steady 30% lighting.
The IP65 waterproof rating and plastic construction also make these better suited for outdoor use through rain, heat, and changing weather. For anyone looking to add low-cost lighting around the house, this two-pack gives you more control than a basic solar wall light.
“Easy to install and it’s a very bright light,” said one shopper. “I would recommend them to anyone who needs a solar light for the porch.”
Another buyer commented, “This is the cat’s meow. The lighting is great and with no cost to operate, you can really use these lights anywhere.”
