If you’re in the market for a large Milwaukee bit set that comes packaged in a case that’s compatible with Milwaukee’s Packout power tool and accessory storage system, the Milwaukee Shockwave Packout 100-Piece Impact Driver Bit Set is probably your best bet. But if you don’t need one that works with other Packout-friendly products, why not save yourself some money and get access to 120 bits by going with another option that doesn’t come in this type of case?
The Milwaukee Shockwave 120-Piece Impact-Duty Bit Set sells for the low everyday price of only $70 at Amazon, making it a more worthwhile option for many people shopping for one of the most comprehensive bit sets in the business.
To be clear, this isn’t necessarily an “either/or” situation, as you can greatly benefit from buying both of these Milwaukee bit sets since they each include different bit selections. But if you can only buy one, the 120-piece option is usually considered the better choice for those looking for a reliable general-purpose kit. It features a magnetic bit holder and a massive assortment of 1- and 2-inch Phillips, slotted, square, hex, and Torx bits. Each has a strong steel construction, a laser-hardened tip for wear-resistance, and Milwaukee’s patented Shock Zone to absorb torque and prevent breakage. Plus, the set also offers six titanium drill bits that deliver maximum durability and speed.
While this set won’t arrive in a Packout-compatible container, it does come in a sturdy case that makes it easy to keep all 120 bits well-organized. You also have the option to turn this into a Packout-ready set in the future by purchasing one of the many Packout cases that Milwaukee sells separately, if your storage needs ever change.
“It’s a very durable, compact, and functional bit set,” one reviewer wrote. “It has every kind of bit you need, and the quality of everything made by Milwaukee is always above the standard.”
“It’s a great set of bits,” another reviewer wrote. “I have been remodeling my house for the past nine months and have used a considerable amount of the bits included in this set. They’ve all worked flawlessly.”
