If you’ve been thinking about buying a new mechanics tool set, Amazon Prime Day is providing you with plenty of reasons to go ahead and do it. From the Craftsman 20-Piece Mechanics Tool Set to the Vevor 205-Piece Mechanics Tool Set to the Duratech 497-Piece Mechanics Tool Set, Amazon has so many of these sets on sale, with some selling for over 30% off at the moment.

The Mechmax 161-Piece Mechanics Tool Set, which has earned more than 1,200 five-star reviews, stands out. It normally retails for $78 — already a pretty affordable price for a set with over 160 tools included — but during Prime Day, it’s on sale for 32% off, bringing its price down to just $53.

This set is ideal for anyone looking for a collection of tools that can handle everything from auto maintenance to household repairs. It includes 1/4- and 3/8-inch ratchet handles, almost 50 sockets in SAE and metric sizes, 12 combination wrenches, 66 screwdriver bits with a ratcheting bit driver, 22 hex keys, and a variety of other small parts and accessories. Each piece is constructed from heavy-duty alloy steel and features a high-polish chrome finish, providing superior strength and corrosion resistance.

Mechmax wraps things up by packaging the set in a tough, blow-molded case, both to protect its pieces and to make them easily accessible when you’re working with tools in your garage or elsewhere in your home. Measuring almost 17 inches long and weighing 10 pounds, this case is on the larger side, but it makes transporting your tools way more manageable than it would otherwise be.

“It’s the most complete tool set I’ve ever owned,” one reviewer wrote. “The tools feel well-made and sturdy, and overall, it has everything I need for various projects around the house.”

Another shopper added, “Whether you’re a professional mechanic or a DIY enthusiast, this tool set is a must-have for any workshop.”
