A two-car Lego set gives builders a little more variety than a single-model kit, especially when the vehicles are as different as a boxy Mercedes-AMG SUV and a low-slung Mercedes-AMG roadster. With this deal we found at Walmart, you can get a dual-build set that’s a fun option for kids, adult collectors, Mercedes fans, and car enthusiasts who want a build that can turn into both a racing toy and a display piece. It also gives builders two different design styles to work through, which helps make the project feel more interesting from start to finish.
Right now, the Lego Speed Champions 808-Piece Mercedes AMG Building Set is on sale for $28, 37% off its normal $45 price. It’s also on sale at Amazon if you prefer shopping there. The set includes buildable versions of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 and Mercedes-AMG SL 63, along with two driver minifigures in Mercedes outfits. It’s designed for builders ages 10 and up, but like most Speed Champions sets, it should also appeal to plenty of adult car fans and collectors.
Rare DealThe two-vehicle build is the biggest draw here. The black AMG G 63 brings the squared-off SUV shape, bold grille, tall stance, and rugged performance look, while the yellow AMG SL 63 adds a completely different feel with its convertible roadster body and sportier proportions. Both models include authentic design touches inspired by the real vehicles, including front grilles, hoods, wheels, interior details, and Mercedes livery. Once finished, they can be used for play, displayed together, or split between a desk, shelf, bedroom, or office. For $28, this is a great deal on a licensed Lego car set with two builds in one box.
One reviewer said, “It was easy and fun to build. Wonderful for car enthusiasts.”
Another reviewer dug into the details, saying, “The G 63 stands out with its iconic boxy silhouette, aggressive stance, and signature grille detailing, which Lego has translated impressively through clever part usage and bold proportions. In contrast, the SL 63 feels sleek and aerodynamic, with smooth curves and a low profile that evoke speed even at rest.”
