The average residential tool collection is worth between $1,500 and $2,000. If it includes hand and power tools designed specifically for auto repairs, this number can easily top $5,000, or even $10,000. If the tools you store in your garage are worth anywhere close to this, you should invest in a lockable, high-quality garage storage cabinet to keep them secure.
An option like the Ikimi 72-Inch Metal Garage Storage Cabinet is exactly what we’re talking about — and as luck would have it, it’s on sale for 50% off right now during Walmart’s Summer Deals event. This heavy-duty storage cabinet usually costs $300 at Walmart, but for the next few days, you can pick one up for only $150.
This cabinet is 72 inches tall, 36 inches wide, and 18 inches deep, providing more than enough storage space for your power tools right from the start. It also features four adjustable shelves inside, each capable of supporting up to 180 pounds, enabling you to create customized storage solutions for everything in your tool collection.
Still, the most appealing aspects of this cabinet are its strength and durability. It’s constructed from cold-rolled steel and has both a reinforced metal frame and a powder-coated finish, making it scratch-, rust-, and wear-resistant. We also appreciate that it’s equipped with a built-in locking mechanism and two keys, letting you lock your tools up tight when you aren’t around to prevent them from going missing.
“It’s one of the best tool boxes for storage,” one reviewer wrote. “It’s tall and designed to accommodate so many smaller items, making it an excellent choice for those in need of additional storage in their garages.”
Another shopper added, “I’m very happy with this extraordinary cabinet. It was a breeze to assemble, and it provides plenty of space for tools and other belongings.”
