If you attempt to use an ordinary cordless drill while working with especially hard materials such as brick, concrete, or stone, it might not be long before you’re forced to buy a new one. Regular drills aren’t designed to deal with them effectively, which is why you should keep them away from these materials at all costs.
Instead, try using a hammer drill, which is usually much more powerful than an average drill and therefore better equipped to handle harder materials. The DeWalt 20V Max XR Cordless Hammer Drill is a great example of the type of tool you should turn to, and, as luck would have it, it’s currently on sale for over 30% off at Amazon. It normally retails for $199, but for a limited time, you can invest in one for only $137.
Audience FavoriteEquipped with a fully capable brushless motor that can achieve speeds up to 2,000 RPM, this hammer drill is ready to help you tackle the toughest tasks without breaking a sweat. It features two distinct speeds and a variable-speed trigger, allowing you to control it more precisely. It also boasts a hammer mode that lets you make light work of masonry applications. It even offers an anti-rotation system that monitors the drill’s rotational motion and stops it from turning if it senses something might be off, protecting the drill during overly demanding jobs.
Additionally, this hammer drill is strong enough to create up to 175 holes on a single charge. It also has a built-in LED light that delivers up to 70 lumens of brightness, making it much easier to see what you’re working on than it would be otherwise.
“This drill is fantastic!” one reviewer wrote. “It has so many different functions, its weight is perfect, and it’s super fast.”
Another shopper added, “It’s very solid, professional-grade, and well-made. It’s also fairly lightweight, yet very powerful. It’s the best drill I’ve ever owned.”
