A compact work light can be one of the most useful tools in a garage, tool bag, or project kit. It’s especially handy when you’re working on cars, since engine bays, wheel wells, under-dash areas, trunks, and the underside of a vehicle can be hard to see with overhead lighting alone. A portable work light is also useful on jobsites, around the house, in crawl spaces, under sinks, inside cabinets, or anywhere else you need focused light without trying to hold a flashlight in one hand.
As part of Amazon’s Prime Day sale, you can get the DeWalt 20V Max LED Work Light on sale for just $39, 29% off on a name-brand light for anyone already using DeWalt 20V Max tools. The work light has a listed output of 165 lumens and is designed for hands-free use with a strong magnet, kickstand, belt hook, and hanging feature. It’s sold as the light only, so the battery and charger are both sold separately.
Selling FastThe hands-free design is the main reason this is more useful than a basic flashlight. You can stick it to a metal surface with the magnet, stand it up on the kickstand, hang it from a hook, or clip it to a belt or tool bag while moving around. The head also rotates 360 degrees and pivots, which makes it easier to aim light exactly where you need it during car repairs, electrical work, plumbing jobs, equipment maintenance, or general home projects.
This probably isn’t the light to buy if you’re not already in the DeWalt battery system, but for 20V Max users, it’s an easy Prime Day deal that can make dark work areas much easier to work with.
“Great light for anyone on the DeWalt battery platform,” said one happy shopper. “It is small enough to leave in a tool bag but also very bright.”
“The best 20V flashlight ever,” raved one buyer. “The head rotates both ways, so it’s very functional.”
