A good power drill is part of any tool collection, as is a sturdy set of bits in a range of sizes. It’s somewhat odd that the former doesn’t often come bundled with the latter for convenience’s sake. But right now, a bundle like this from DeWalt is on sale at Amazon with a big discount.
The DeWalt 20V Max Drill Driver Kit is on sale for $116 at Amazon, 45% off its normal $212 price tag. In a sea of tool deals on bare tools only, this kit comes with not only a battery and charger but also a (very good) set of DeWalt drill bits — everything you need to drill holes large and small right out of the box.
45% OffThe included drill is a DeWalt 20V Max model with a compact form factor (just 7.6 inches front to back), LED light, and brushless motor that can reach up to 1,600 RPM. The included lightweight 2.0Ah has more than enough capacity for most household tasks, and the included charger has an LED light that indicates if the battery is charging, fully charged, or delayed due to heat, which can damage a charging battery. And while you might worry about the drill bits being a low-quality throw-in, this 21-piece set is made of steel with a titanium nitride coating for longer life and has a tapered web design that resists breakage. The bits, which range from 1/16 to 1/2 of an inch, come with a compact case that helps keep things organized.
One shopper who reviewed the drill driver called it “a fantastic tool” because “it looks great, feels solid, and delivers excellent power for home projects.” It’s a “reliable, powerful drill for home use” that they are “confident will last a long time.”
Another customer, reviewing the drill bit set, called them “the sharpest and best lasting bits I’ve had” at this price point. They added that they’re “great for everyday use” and “work and last well for the price.”
