Switching from one bit to the next when you’re in the middle of an auto repair or home improvement project can be difficult to do under normal circumstances. In many cases, you might need to reach for a chuck key or another tool to swap out drill and driver bits. This can bring a job to a screeching halt and make it take much longer than you may have anticipated.
Fortunately, DeWalt developed a quick-change accessory system called Rapid Load to prevent this issue from turning into a major problem. It’s included in a bunch of DeWalt’s drilling and driving sets, such as the DeWalt 15-Piece Rapid Load Drilling and Driving Set. If you’d like to see just how much time the system can save you, consider buying this set, which is currently on sale for 40% off at Amazon. It typically costs $25, but the set can be yours for only $15, its lowest price in the last 90 days.
40% OffInitially, this set might look similar to many of the other DeWalt drilling and driving sets on the market today. It includes a magnetic drive guide, nine 1-inch Phillips, slotted, and square insert bits, two 2-inch Phillips and square power bits, and two hex-shank drill bits. They come packaged in a bright yellow case to keep them organized and make the entire set easy to find.
This innovative set also includes a component that separates it from many of its fellow DeWalt drilling and driving sets — a rapid load adapter. This bit holder fits all 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch drills, and it’s designed to make it remarkably easy to switch bits without pulling out any special tools. It’s a small part, but you will notice a huge difference in how long projects take as soon as you start using it.
“This kit has everything you need to complete basic tasks around the house,” one reviewer wrote. “And I absolutely love the rapid load adapter! It makes using my cordless drill more convenient.”
“I expected the best from DeWalt, and I was not disappointed when I bought this set,” another shopper added. “It offers excellent quality, it’s easy to use, and its case keeps things neat and organized.”
