The U.S. is facing its third “heat dome” in the last month, and it’s expected to affect more than 70 million Americans. About 20 states are under extreme heat dome warnings, with most encouraging people to stay out of the sun in the coming days. If you live in one, parking it inside next to a portable air conditioner is probably your best bet.
If staying in the house during the dog days of summer isn’t in the cards, though, the least you can do is pick up a portable fan to take any time you need to leave home. The Blbs Camping Misting Fan is one of the many great options available at Amazon right now, and it’s currently on sale for over 40% off, making it an excellent choice for those looking for an easy, affordable way to keep cool. It normally retails for $50, but you can currently grab one for only $30 and rely on it to make the heat dome a little less manageable.
This fan features an 11-ounce water tank that can provide a strong breeze and a light mist for up to 160 minutes. BLBS, the brand behind this fan and many others like it, also claims it has upgraded its spray nozzle to give it a range that’s over 50% larger than those offered by similar fans, allowing it to deliver more rapid cooling within just seconds.
The fan itself also packs plenty of power, thanks to its advanced motor and its four speed settings — low, mid, high, and max — that can throw air up to 27 feet. Plus, it boasts a long-lasting 24000 mAh rechargeable battery that can keep the fan on for up to 80 hours on its lowest setting or up to about 11 hours on full blast. It even comes with a remote control included, making it incredibly convenient to adjust its settings with the push of a button.
All of this has helped turn this fan into a favorite amongst those who enjoy camping. However, you can also count on it to cool you off when you’re hiking, fishing, lounging at the beach, working outdoors, or just hanging out in your backyard.
“It’s a must-have for anyone looking to stay cool during hot summer days,” one reviewer wrote. “It combines a powerful fan with a refreshing mist feature to provide instant relief from the heat. The airflow is strong, adjustable, and long-lasting, helping keep you comfortable for hours.”
“I’m a DJ who works many private events, and we tend to get sweaty after setting everything up,” another shopper shared. “I was surprised by how much air this fan pushes! The mist is also so fine that I don’t worry about my equipment being affected since it evaporates before falling to the surface.”
