Law enforcement officers and military members routinely rely on tactical flashlights while on the job. Still, you don’t necessarily need to work in one of these capacities to benefit from one. Whether you’re shopping for a flashlight to use while walking the dog late at night or searching for a flashlight to bring along on hiking or camping adventures, you will be impressed with what tactical options bring to the table.
The only downside of investing in a tactical flashlight is that it might cost you a pretty penny, with some selling for hundreds of dollars. However, you can currently get your hands on the Acebeam Rechargeable Tactical Flashlight for just a fraction of that. It retails for $50, which is already a relatively affordable price, but Amazon is selling it for just $25 right now.
49% OffThis high-quality LED flashlight is compact, measuring just under 6 inches and weighing only 2.6 ounces, yet it packs a serious punch in the brightness department. It can reach a maximum brightness of 1,400 lumens and throw light over 300 meters, making it the ideal solution for those seeking long-range performance in a tactical flashlight. It also boasts a durable aluminium body that makes it water-, impact-, and dust-resistant. Additionally, it can be powered by either its included rechargeable battery or any two AA batteries, so you can take it almost anywhere without worrying about it running out of juice.
Still, our favorite thing about this tactical flashlight is its tail button, which has a special memory function when in EDC mode. While the flashlight’s side button will allow you to toggle through its different settings — moonlight (1.5 lumens), low (30 lumens), medium (100 lumens), high (350 lumens), turbo (1,400 lumens), and strobe (1,400 lumens) — the tail button is designed to remember the last setting you used and revert to it. This tail button also comes in handy when you’re utilizing the flashlight in tactical mode, as it automatically switches the flashlight to its turbo setting in an instant.
“It’s a great flashlight,” one reviewer wrote. “It has some weight to it but is still light enough to carry around. It’s very bright, too.”
While many of those who have reviewed this tactical flashlight report purchasing it for themselves, some have also suggested it would make a good holiday gift for others. “I bought it for my adult sons, and it’s the one gift they couldn’t stop talking about!” one shopper wrote. “It’s incredibly bright and compact. It’s well-made and perfect for emergencies, camping, or just around the house.”
