Overview
The 2026 Rolls-Royce Phantom remains the flagship sedan of the Rolls-Royce lineup and the brand’s most prestigious production model. The 2026 Phantom continues the eighth generation introduced in 2018 and refreshed with the Series II update in 2023. It rides on Rolls-Royce’s proprietary aluminum Architecture of Luxury platform and is hand-assembled at the Goodwood factory in England.
Unlike most luxury sedans, the Phantom is designed as a highly bespoke vehicle. Each example is built to order through Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke program, allowing extensive customization. It sits at the top of the ultra-luxury sedan segment, with few rivals approaching its level of craftsmanship and personalization.
What’s New for 2026?
The 2026 Phantom carries over without major changes, but there’s a new Centenary Private Collection special edition to which only 25 will be built to celebrate 100 years of the Phantom. It comes with unique black wheels, hand-woven cabin materials, two-color paintwork, and an 18-carat-gold hood ornament. All 25 have already been sold.
Because the Phantom is built around bespoke commissioning rather than fixed trims, Rolls-Royce continues to expand customization through its Bespoke program. Buyers can specify unique paint finishes, custom veneers, hand-painted coachlines, and commissioned artwork within the Gallery dashboard panel.
Exterior
The Rolls-Royce Phantom’s three-box luxury sedan profile has imposing proportions. The standard version measures more than 18 feet long, while the Phantom Extended adds 8.6 inches of wheelbase for greater rear passenger space. The Pantheon grille with polished vertical vanes dominates the fascia and carries an illuminated Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament. LED headlights flank the grille and integrate modern lighting signatures without disrupting the Phantom’s formal design.
The long hood, upright stance, and wide body emphasize the car’s stately presence. Rear-hinged rear coach doors open widely to ease entry and create a distinctive visual statement. Standard 22-inch wheels fill the arches, while the rear design remains restrained and elegant. Customization plays a major role in the Phantom’s exterior identity, with tens of thousands of paint options, hand-painted coachlines, and bespoke trim details available.

Interior
The interior of the Rolls-Royce Phantom full-size luxury sedan combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. It’s assembled by hand using premium leather, wood veneers, and polished metal finishes. One of the most distinctive elements is the Gallery dashboard, which sits behind a full-width glass panel and allows owners to commission bespoke artwork or decorative installations. The digital displays remain discreetly integrated to preserve the clean design.
Standard equipment includes massaging seats, four-zone climate control, and lambswool floor mats. An 18-speaker Bespoke Audio system delivers immersive sound, while Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are wireless. The Starlight headliner uses embedded fiber-optic lighting to simulate a night sky. Rear seating is a key focus. The trunk provides about 19 cu-ft of luggage space.

Verdict
The 2026 Rolls-Royce Phantom remains one of the most luxurious sedans available. Its hand-built construction, V12 powertrain, and extensive Bespoke customization distinguish it from other luxury vehicles.
While the model is largely unchanged for 2026, its design emphasizes timeless craftsmanship over frequent redesigns. The Phantom Extended enhances rear-seat comfort, reinforcing the car’s role as a chauffeur-focused flagship.
Few vehicles compete directly with the Rolls-Royce Phantom sedan, and none offer the same depth of personalization. For buyers seeking the highest expression of automotive luxury, the Phantom continues to set the benchmark.
