Overview
The 2025 Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II full-size ultra-luxury SUV represents the most extensive mid-cycle update in Rolls-Royce history, refining what is already the world’s preeminent super-luxury SUV. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 producing 563 hp, or 592 hp in Black Badge form, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive.
The Cullinan remains the most requested Rolls-Royce model, and nearly every example is now owner-driven rather than chauffeur-driven. Buyers can choose a 5-seat layout or a 4-seat Lounge configuration. This SUV suits buyers who want the highest level of luxury, craftsmanship, and personalization in an SUV.
What’s New for 2025?
The Series II update introduces a redesigned front end with vertical LED daytime running lights, an illuminated Pantheon grille offered on Cullinan for the first time, and a new lower leading edge. The SPIRIT operating system, first seen on the electric Spectre, now appears in a V12-powered Rolls-Royce SUV and allows customizable digital instrument colors. A pillar-to-pillar glass fascia houses the driver display, central screen, and an Illuminated fascia panel featuring 7,000 laser-etched dots forming a cityscape graphic.
The Spirit of Ecstasy Clock Cabinet places a solid stainless-steel figurine inside an illuminated interior display. There is a new bamboo-based rayon upholstery called Duality Twill, and a new Emperador Truffle paint finish. New 23-inch wheels mark the largest wheels ever fitted to a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The Whispers private members app now integrates directly into the vehicle.
Exterior
The 2025 Cullinan has a new front design that features a shallow V-shaped bumper line inspired by modern yacht bow lines, while outward-angled air intakes visually lower the stance. Vertical L-shaped daytime running light strips create immediate recognition in both daylight and darkness. The illuminated Pantheon grille now includes a polished horizon line connecting the headlights.
In profile, a new feature line runs from the taillight to the rear wheel center. Mirror-finish stainless-steel exhaust surrounds and a brushed steel protective plate define the rear design. New 23-inch wheels are the biggest ever on a Cuillinan; they’re milled from aluminum billets in a faceted seven-spoke design with partial or full-polish finishes. The new Emperador Truffle paint is a grey-brown solid color inspired by veined marble, giving the Cullinan a distinctive finish option.

Interior
The cabin sets a benchmark in craftsmanship and material execution. The Illuminated Fascia uses laser-etched glass with 7,000 individually angled dots to create visual depth. Duality Twill, a bamboo-fiber rayon textile, incorporates 2.2 million stitches and 11 miles of thread per interior. Placed Perforation creates cloud patterns using 107,000 perforations in the leather. Grey Stained Ash wood trim features hand-stained veneer infused with metallic particles.
The 16-speaker Bespoke Audio system produces 1,400 watts, and aluminum door sills function as subwoofer chambers. Rear passengers use individual screens with Wi-Fi connectivity, and the optional Viewing Suite deploys seats and a cocktail table from the luggage compartment, reinforcing the Rolls-Royce Cullinan super-luxury SUV positioning.

Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Unmatched interior craftsmanship like 107,000-perforation leather and 2.2-million-stitch Duality Twill
- SPIRIT digital interface and Whispers app bring modern connectivity to the Cullinan experience
- Adaptive air suspension delivers the legendary “Magic Carpet Ride” regardless of terrain or road surface
Cons:
- Estimated pricing starting near $400,000 before Bespoke options that routinely add six figures
- 14 MPG combined fuel economy is among the lowest of any production vehicle on sale
- Controversial exterior styling remains polarizing despite Series II refinements
Verdict
The Series II update strengthens the Rolls-Royce Cullinan by introducing meaningful technology and design changes while preserving the qualities that define the vehicle. Interior innovations include the 107,000-perforation cloud pattern leather and bamboo-fiber Duality Twill that requires 20 hours per interior. The SPIRIT interface modernizes the cabin while maintaining traditional materials and analog design elements. The V12 delivers exceptionally smooth power, and the air suspension isolates occupants from road imperfections across a wide range of surfaces. The Black Badge model adds a more assertive character with increased power and sportier tuning. At nearly $400,000 before personalization, the Cullinan occupies a segment with virtually no direct competition.
