What’s New for 2027
The 2027 Maybach S gets new three-pointed-star-accented adaptive LED headlights, and its grille increases in size by 20%, now displaying the Maybach name at the top. The grille is also fully illuminated, and an illuminated hood ornament is optional. Redesigned taillights and fresh new wheel and paint options round out the exterior changes.
The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine in the S 580 is uprated from 496 hp and 516 lb-ft to 530 hp and 553 lb-ft and comes with a mild-hybrid system and ISG drive that contribute 23 hp and 151 lb-ft. The air suspension is now cloud-connected to improve ride comfort, and 10 degrees of rear-axle steering is standard. The autonomous driving aids are expanded as well.
Inside, the Maybach S now gets the cabin-width MBUX Superscreen with an updated infotainment system and AI-enabled digital assistant, as well as a redesigned steering wheel with physical controls, dual wireless charging pads, enhanced speakers for the audio system, motorized air vents, more trim and upholstery options, and optional heated front seatbelts.
Rear passengers get 13.1-inch displays attached to the front headrests, and newly available front airbags and seatbelt airbags.
