Overview
The 2026 Cadillac Celestiq is a full-size electric ultra-luxury sedan tasked to reclaim Cadillac’s “Standard of the World” status. To this end, it’s a custom-commissioned car that’s assembled by hand at the GM Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, and annual production will be limited to around 100-150 units. This, and a ~$400K starting price, puts it in rarified company with the Bentley Flying Spur and Rolls-Royce Ghost, and above cars such as the Mercedes-Maybach EQS.
Under the skin, you get GM’s Ultium electric architecture, with a 111-kWh battery and dual electric motors, a combined 655 horsepower and 646 lb-ft of torque, and all-wheel drive. Its estimated range is 303 miles on a charge.

What’s New for 2026
The 2026 Cadillac Celestiq’s price increases substantially, from last year’s mid-$300K level to the low $400,000 range. The car itself isn’t changed at all, except that the previously extra-cost smart glass roof, for which each of the four occupants can set their own opacity levels, is now standard equipment and no longer a cost item. Eight years of connected services are now also included in the price. Customer deliveries started in June 2025, and production proceeds at the rate of no more than two vehicles per week.

Exterior
The Celestiq features a bold, concept-car-proportioned silhouette with a carbon fiber body including the hood, door outers, and bodysides. A 55-inch-wide LED display is visible through the windshield. The front fascia channels classic Cadillac vertical lighting elements into modern LED arrays, while the rear features a full-width light bar. Active aero elements include a deployable rear spoiler and grille shutters that close automatically to optimize aerodynamics. Active air suspension adjusts ride height for improved efficiency and capability. Standard 22-inch wheels are fitted, with optional 23-inch wheels available. Flush door handles and an active aero package reinforce the streamlined design.

Interior
The four separate chairs define the Celestiq’s cabin experience, and all four seats feature heating, ventilation, and massaging functions. A 4-zone microclimate system and a 4-quadrant SkyGlass roof that allows every occupant to infinitely adjust the level of opacity add to the sense that all passengers are cossetted to an equal degree.
Tech includes a massive 55-inch pillar-to-pillar front display and dual rear 12.6-inch displays, but the Google Built-In infotainment system lacks Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. An AKG Studio Reference audio system with 38 speakers is standard.
All the wood, metal, and leather you see is real, and every material, surface, and color can be personalized when you work alongside a dedicated Cadillac design consierge to commission your Celestiq. With over 350,000 possible combinations available, every Celestiq is unique.
Price Range and Best Value Trim
The Celestiq is a single-trim car and a fully bespoke vehicle. Its pricing is, therefore, determined by each client’s customization choices.

Verdict
The Celestiq is the boldest statement GM’s Cadillac division has made in decades, and takes the fight straight to Rolls-Royce and Bentley with a similar commissioning process, endless customization scope, and hand-finished cars built by artisans at a rate of no more than two per week. At a starting price of over $400,000, it’s right up there as well, so a prospective owner has every right to suck their teeth and expect something out of the ordinary.
And the Celestiq’s tech offering is certainly extraordinary. Not only can the 55-inch display, the SkyGlass roof, and the 38-speaker AKG audio be seen as unique features in this class, but Cadillac gives customers a truly advanced car under the skin, too, with an aluminum spaceframe, a carbon-fiber body, and a discreet electric powertrain that will waft it to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. This is an exciting new kind of American luxury car from a brand that seeks to reinvent American automotive luxury.
