Overview

The 2026 Aston Martin DB12 is a GT in coupe and convertible guises, and arrives as what the brand calls the world’s first Super Tourer. A hand-built 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 671 hp, routed to the rear wheels through a ZF 8-speed automatic and an electronic limited-slip differential. This setup delivers a 0-60 mph time of 3.6 seconds and a 202-MPH top speed. There’s a 690-hp DB12 S as well. The design blends traditional British GT proportions with genuine supercar pace. Buyers can choose a coupe or Volante convertible, both with 2+2 seating. Key rivals include the Ferrari Roma, Bentley Continental GT, and Porsche 911 Turbo S.

What’s New for 2026?

The 2026 DB12 carries forward with a few notable additions. A limited-edition Goldfinger Edition joins the range alongside the standard Coupe and Volante, while a Volante 60th Anniversary Edition marks six decades of Aston Martin open-top models. Apple CarPlay Ultra compatibility now extends across the lineup. The 671-hp twin-turbo V8, adaptive damping system, and extruded bonded aluminum structure remain unchanged.

A new DB12 S variant sits above the standard model, adding 19 hp and chassis revisions aimed at sharper handling, steering, and braking. It also introduces unique styling details such as a front splitter, vented hood, black side skirts, rear diffuser, quad-exit exhaust, and prominent S badging. Inside, the S features red anodized accents, optional Alcantara heated sport seats, and three distinct interior themes.

Exterior

The Aston Martin DB12 is the brand’s most aerodynamically advanced grand tourer to date. A 6-vane metal grille in satin chrome defines the front fascia, paired with LED matrix headlights that perform signature lighting sequences during lock and unlock. Swan-wing doors open upward and outward, improving access to the low-slung cabin. A deployable rear spoiler integrates with the Aeroblade system to maintain high-speed stability.

Standard 21-inch forged alloy wheels are finished in satin silver, with several optional finishes offered. The car measures 186.0 inches in length, 78.0 inches in width without the mirrors, and 51.0 inches in height. Weight distribution is 48:52 front-to-rear, with a curb weight ranging from 4,012 to 4,255 lbs.

Interior

The cabin of the DB12 combines handcrafted materials with modern tech. Twin 10.25-inch displays manage both driver information and infotainment functions, including wireless Apple CarPlay, satellite navigation, and natural voice control. An 11-speaker, 390-watt Aston Martin audio system comes standard, while a 15-speaker, 1,170-watt Bowers and Wilkins setup serves as an upgrade.

Heated seats with 12-way power adjustment come standard, while Sports Plus and carbon-fiber Performance seats are on the options list. Black Alcantara headlining, ambient lighting, and satin chrome accents define the space. Buyers can select from open-pore wood, brushed aluminum, or carbon fiber trim. The 2+2 seating layout includes rear seats suited primarily for children or occasional use.

Verdict

The Aston Martin DB12 grand tourer meets its Super Tourer brief with clarity. Its twin-turbo V8 delivers strong, consistent acceleration up to 202 mph, while the adaptive damping and electronic differential allow it to shift between relaxed cruising and focused driving. The near 48:52 weight balance keeps the chassis composed through the corners, even with its grand-touring size.
