The 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee in a Nutshell
Jeep had a winner on its hands when it introduced the Grand Cherokee in 1992 for the 1993 model year. While the smaller Cherokee helped the brand achieve even greater success, the Grand Cherokee came in at the right time as SUV shoppers demanded more options. Jeep’s two-pronged approach meant it was practically swimming in cash in the ’90s.
It’s been over 30 years since the first Grand Cherokee drove up the stairs for its dramatic debut, and it remains Jeep’s top-selling model to this day. Now in its fifth generation, the current model came out in 2021 and was given an update for the 2026 model year. It gets a few styling tweaks inside and out, along with a new powertrain option and a more standard kit.

2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lease Deals for February
One thing you’ll notice about this month’s lease deals is that they’re much higher than January’s promos. That’s because those were still the 2025 models, and this month, Jeep is finally offering special lease options for the 2026 Grand Cherokee. It starts at $491 for 39 months for the Laredo 4×2 and has a due at signing fee of $3,999.
In fact, all trims covered by the lease schemes are $3,999 due at signing and 39 months. For the Grand Cherokee L Laredo 4×2, its $511 per month, while the least expensive four-wheel drive model to lease is the standard-length Laredo 4×4 at $521 monthly. You can also lease the longer L Laredo 4×4 model for $541 per month. Mileage is limited to 10,000 per year, and it’s $0.30 for every mile beyond that. Offer is valid until March 2, 2026.

2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Highlights
If we combine all the trims found in the standard and long-wheelbase models of the Grand Cherokees, there are 12 models to choose from with six variants for each body style. Prices range from $38,415, all the way to $62,195. Trim levels for both Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L are Laredo, Laredo X, Laredo Altitude, Limited, Limited Reserve, and Summit. Laredo A, Laredo Altitude X, Overland, and Summit Reserve are no more this year.
All Grand Cherokees come standard with advanced driver-assist features, an overhauled Uconnect infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a driver’s-side power seat. Laredo X models add a sunroof, heated front seats, a power tailgate, wireless charging, and remote start. Altitude models get leather, additional driving aids, and a larger touchscreen, while the Limited gains rear heated seats, driver’s side memory seat, plus an Alpine sound system.
The Limited Reserve gets ventilated front seats, plus a dual-pane sunroof and 360-degree cameras. As for the top-spec Summit, it comes standard with a McIntosh sound system, a front passenger-side screen, ventilated second-row seats, air suspension, a more advanced Quadra-Trac II 4×4 system, and hands-free driving assists. For engines, only the Laredo and Laredo X stick with the familiar 3.6-liter V6. From Altitude models and up, all use a new 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo that’s good for 324 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. We do wish the V8 makes a comeback, though.

Final Thoughts
With a wide variety of trims available, there’s a Grand Cherokee model that suits everyone’s needs or budget. It also helps that there are two body styles available, giving customers more choices to find the model that best fits their lifestyle. Despite appearances, the Jeep DNA is still alive and well in the latest Grand Cherokee, and we suggest that anyone considering this model should take it off-road from time to time. It would be a shame to waste its capabilities on pavement.
