The 2026 BMW X6 M Competition in a Nutshell

From oddball niche to moneymaker, the X6 has had quite the ride over the years. And as if its polarizing body style wasn’t enough, BMW then proceeded to give it an M version to stir up more opinions. To say that the strategy has worked is putting it lightly, as the X6 M is still a strong seller to this day.

Three generations of the X6 M have been made since 2009, and the current model made its world premiere in 2019. It was updated in 2023 for the 2024 model year, and the U.S. market only gets it in Competition form. With an all-new generation likely to arrive before the end of the decade, it heads into 2026 with no changes.

2026 BMW X6 M Competition Lease Deals for February

If you missed out on last month’s lease deal for the X6 M Competition, we have some good news. The rates that applied back in January have been carried over this month. It’s still not cheap, though, but you already expected that from a BMW M product.

With that, this speedy coupe-crossover can be leased this month for $2,139 for 36 months with $9,959 due at signing. As always, it’s $0.30 per mile over 30,000 miles (10,000/year), and the offer is valid until March 2, 2026.

2026 BMW X6 M Competition Highlights

The X6 M Competition has a base price of $136,100 and, as mentioned, the non-Competition version is no longer offered in the U.S. For that amount of money, you get an adaptive suspension system that includes air ride and active anti-roll bars, as well as a mode-specific sport differential, bigger brake kit, and a raspier exhaust. You also get niceties from standard X6 models such as advanced driver assists, parking assistant plus, and BMW Live Cockpit Professional.

Powering the X6 M Competition is the now-familiar 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that’s used in multiple BMW products, as well as some select Land Rover and Range Rover models. Output is identical to the X5 M Competition, meaning 617 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque.

Final Thoughts

The BMW X6 is a crossover that one chooses with their heart and not their head, moreso with the M Competition model. If you want a fast and practical BMW M car, that’s the role of the X5 M Competition and M5 Touring. This one is for those who don’t mind the extra attention this model attracts, and surely not for the shy and reserved types. Extroverts, line up here.
