Florida woman gives birth in speeding car on expressway

A woman in Florida gave birth to her fifth child in the early hours of Tuesday morning, though this birth was extra special. It was the first time she delivered in the back seat of a speeding car.

Grendalee Rosales, 29, was in labor as her husband Jose Rosales sped down the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway toward the hospital around 3 a.m. Tuesday morning. He pulled over when the baby boy, whom they named Jaden, made it into this world ahead of schedule.

The Rosales flagged down a Good Samaritan who called 911 and helped the couple clean up the baby and tie the umbilical cord. When they made it to the hospital, pediatricians were shocked that the baby was in such good shape.

"You could almost [say it's] a miracle the baby's as healthy as the baby is right now," attending pediatrician Dr. Luis Maldonado told WFTS.

Jaden and his mom are doing well.
