Spy Shots: Subaru Coupe – Click above for high-res image gallery

Judging by the recent influx of spy shots, Toyota is working hard, fine-tuning its upcoming Scion FR-S sports car. Now, we're finally getting a look at the Subaru version. Spy photogs snapped the two-door Subie undergoing some road testing. The style is similar to the Scion we've been seeing, but the Subaru appears to get a different front-end treatment.

Though most of the important bits and pieces are well-covered by all the swirly graphics, the spy photographers did manage to grab a shot of the interior of the coupe. A paddle shifter is clearly visible, and we hope to eventually spy a version with a manual transmission as well. Check out all of the spy shots of the Subaru coupe by clicking through the gallery below.

Are they doing AWD? Last I heard it was cancelled to save money.

Who knows where my comment will end up, but... Supposed to be under the Subaru story. If Subaru was smart they would have done a two door WRX and saved all this money. The world doesn't need another coupe, and certainly not two more and even more certainly not something so vanilla. Cheap, sort of fast and miata-ish yes. Not this. The Scion is the clear winner from what I have seen. I just know Subaru will play it too conservative on the looks front.

I have a great 2005 Forester Turbo and hope Subaru wont lower itself to Toyota standards. Does this article say Subaru and Toyota are producung this platform together? Subaru is nuts. They should return their focus to improving the vehicles they have which can be counted on to provide super safe, reliable, and in my XT case fun to drive vehicles; not toys for the juvenile delinquents.

Bro! Where have you been? This car has more news and updates than time itself.

You are insane if you do this. When someone rents a car they trash it. Why when people can't even lift a toilet seat would you expect them to care about your car??? This belongs in the Zipcar story BTW... where I left it autoblog!
