2011 Pagani Huayra – Click above to view the video after the jump

The Pagani Huayra has finally shown its face in motion, carving up some beautiful European countryside to an ethereal soundtrack. This video is as pretentious as it is beautifully shot, which, for a car like the Huayra, may be exactly the right treatment... though perhaps a bit heavy handed in the imagined mythology.

In any case, introducing a car like this apparently requires allusions to mystical forces behind its construction, and Pagani delivers, likening the car to the wrath of ancient Andean gods. Like the mystical winds it's named after, the Huayra seemingly sweeps along with an angry purpose. See for yourself in the video after the break.

I bet I'm not that only one that wanted to hear the engine noise...

I was shocked, a whole teaser for a super car without a SINGLE engine note? Come on!

From this angle it looks like an uglier Mclaren F1.

Say what you will about the front end, the active aerodynamics look pretty incredible.

i was expecting huge engine noise at the end, as the pagani drives off into the sunset.

      but no. nothing.

So THATS what the Smoke Monster was all along...

Wow, even in motion that design just does absolutely nothing for me. Looks like a concept car from 1979, or like a supercar still wearing its testing camo. Just so bland from the side and front.
