REPORT: Spied Aston V12 Vantage Roadster actually a beefed-up V8
If you saw the recent spy shots of a supposed upcoming Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster and wondered where all the louvers from the coupe went, the answer may be found in newer reports. Sources suggest that rather than a drop-top V12, the thinly-disguised test mule in question is actually a regular V8 Roadster, only wearing an extra body kit to give it a more substantial look. Whichever reports are correct, we wouldn't be surprised to see a V12 Roadster popping up close to the end of the fixed-roof V12 Vantage's limited production run. But could Aston be up to something with its entry-level eight-cylinder sportscar? Stay tuned. We know soon.

How about NO? You've just been posting this garbage in every article you find,"sexygirl0007" (if that's your real name).
At any rate, I like the new roadster lineup a lot. I really missed Volante for that stint where they didn't have any but these new roadsters are looking good.

jnetbj I like seeing that Aston Martin is keeping it simple and light weight with a rag-top.

I dunno....
I love Astons, and the Vantage V12 is amazing, as sort of a street-legal near-competition car...
But are people really that involved for a Vantage convertible with a V12, as opposed to a DB9 convertible, or even a DBS convertible?
The magic about the Vantage V12 is it's performance potential, but cutting off the roof to make it a fun-and-sun car, doesn't seem like it needs the effort of shoe-horning that V12 under the short 'bonnet.' It is kind of like a Porsche GT3 or GT2. Hard-core performance that isn't really calling for a folding roof. That is what Turbo and C2 and C4 cabrios are for.
So, it makes some sense to me that the car would be a dressed up V8 Vantage Volante, with updated styling, and the updated 4.7 V8...
It is still a bloody fantastic automobile.
