Heavy Breathing: SEAT Ibiza Bocanegra reportedly gets the go-ahead

Seat Bocanegra Concept - Click above for a high-res gallery
A production version of the Seat Bocanegra has reportedly been cleared for landing. The black-mouthed concept was an Ibiza Cupra with futuristic lights, a super-black grille treatment front and rear, and a concept car interior, so you can probably expect the production version to keep the special front end and perhaps an interior touch like diamond stitching. Potentially sold as a style pack to go on the Ibiza Cupra options list, Autocar is reporting that Bocanegra will get the same 178 horsepower 1.4-liter engine and appear some time after July of this year.

That's a nice view. The name will hopefully change for the production model lol

I don't know, I kind of like it.
It sure beats the English translation: SEAT Ibiza Blackmouth
Spanish names usually sound pretty cool. For example, Reventon, Murcielago, etc.
Change the name to Spanish on many cars and they sound cooler:
Toyota Camry --> Toyota Cerote.

@Berto:
You owe me a keyboard cleaning kit... Toyota Cerote, hahahahaha.
Muy buena, muy buena. La cosa más chistosa que he leído hoy, gracias.

Berto....
Cerote? You need a spanish lesson.
There isn`t a word for "Camry" in Spanish.
En cualquier caso estoy de acuerdo con que los nombres de coche en castellano suenan muy bien.

There's no other word, IMHO, to describe that front end than, Sinister.
I love it!

SEAT really does make very nice looking cars (as do the French automakers). In my opinion, the Europeans are ahead of the American and Asian carmakers when it comes to esthetics (although Ford is getting better quickly).

Nice looking hatch.
The only thing I would change is to take out the character-line which angles downward (or make it so it doesn't angle so much downward).

The car is perfect, even the name, the color, everything! I hope it stays like it is.

I have seen more concept/production preview cars painted that same reddish-orange, and they all looked great. But then when they actually made the car, you couldn't get it in that color!

Awesome! It's the exact opposite of Mazda's smiling faces as is the way to do a front treatment like that. It flows and it's aggressive (not Panda-Mazda like).
