This week has been no laughing matter for the auto industry, with President Obama and his Auto Task Force outright rejecting the restructuring plans of General Motors and Chrysler and giving the two ailing automakers new deadlines and ultimatums. Low sales, laid off workers and even an ousted CEO, however, can't put a damper on April Fools' Day, which just happens to occur this year in the midst of some very unfunny stuff.
