Without any actual product to reveal today at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show, General Motors spent its time on the soap box making sure its heavy investment in Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen pays off. As we've shown you, GM revealed the Corvette Centennial Concept that will play Sideswipe, as well as Jolt the Volt, Skids the Beat and Mudflap the Trax. During the press conference, GM also displayed new footage of the entire AUTOBOTS crew, old and new, out rolling in vehicle form. yeah, it was. but it actually made me kinda curious. does everyone in the world (at the time TF2 takes place) know that the pack of cars are THE transformers. or does law enforcement not care about a pack of cars swerving in and out of lanes and tailgating each other?

So what, are we gonna see more Robots fighting each other, or some dumb ditz with tits get car terminology wrong again?
Craig 3:09PM (2/11/2009)
I really, really hope that that wasn't actual movie footage.

It was just clips of the movie pasted together of the Chevrolets driving around for use on the screens above the display at the show. Clearly made for a loop to run 24/7 at the show.

geez... that was lame.
at least give us some transforming or fights or crashes or Megan Fox.

That Corvettte would be awesome if they got rid of that grille. This is what the ZR1 should've been...

Yup, the grill ruins it. I saw that and thought what the hell were they thinking when they designed it? Oh, they weren't thinking and that's the problem.

Hmmmm... sure hope the cars don't look so ricey on the big screen...

Never-before-seen because it wasn't worth watching.
I thought I was going to actually see something interesting... not just cars driving.

Are they really in disguise?
Seriously if I seen that roll-out I'd pay more attention.

That was dailies of the cars edited together into a car reel it seems.
I love the Volt car, those rear wheel fender archs are so sexy.

And we're driving, we're driving, we're driving...and now we're turning, we're turning, we're turning. Camel, camel, camel. And we're driving again...snore.

As a typical fan of imports, I have to say....
....there is absolutely no way they could've made this film with much of anything but domestic vehicles, particularly the Camaro (R8 being the exception since there's one in this sequel). Looking back at the Transformers, it just seems.....wrong....to have put Bumblebee up on the big screen as a Bug. Part of me wanted to see it because I'm a traditionalist, but I think a part of me really wanted to take giant talking robots blowing sh*t up seriously. A New Beetle never would've worked.
I'm also digging those rear arches on the Volt.

We're all very happy for you. It's a nostalgia thing, but since you never watched the original you probably would never get it anyway. Glad you took the time to point out you haven't participated and don't care, Thanks alot.

You may not be 12 years old, but you are certainly the title holder for "Douchebag comment of the day!"
