Alfa Romeo 8C Competiziones popping up Stateside

Click above for high-res gallery of pics of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
It looks like the rest of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competiziones are starting to get into customer hands since that first one was delivered to James Glickenhaus. Last weekend at Motor4Toys we just missed a red one, but it happened to show up this morning at our weekly gathering in Irvine, California. The car drew a huge crowd, who universally praised it for its voluptuous good looks and gorgeous red paint job. The owner drove in and parked, revving it a bit to treat the onlookers. Although we've had the great pleasure of seeing the car in person a few times already, it is still stunning. And it was fun to watch the others seeing it for the first time. This is truly mobile art. Drew and Jonathon happened to be at the show this morning as well and are trying to convince the owner to let them take it for a spin. Hopefully they get their wish, but until then, check out the gallery to see some of my pics along with Drew's typical photographic magic.

You guys mixed up some Ford Fusion Hybrid photos in there. Be careful!

Most beautiful new car in recent memory.
Too bad they ran out of development money after that beautiful exterior, and had to usurp the Ford Fusion dashboard!

I will guess that this will endure as one of those very rare cars that will never go out of style. In the last few decades cars that are characterized by all around enduring beauty are few and far between. Here we have a pristine example.

This car still sits on top of my 'most beautiful car' list at the moment. I'd love to see one in person, though.

It's a pity that such a beautiful car has such an uninspired interior. It's not clean or elegant at all... it almost seems as if it was an afterthought.
This car has no performance pretense, it's simply a beautiful car to look at. Shouldn't it have been a beautiful car to sit in as well?

Totally agree...it looks like a really cheap interior...almost Chrysler like. What a shame.

Aesthetics are subjective, but quality isn't. Every tester has agreed the 8C interior is a very high quality thing. The center stack is milled from an 11lb piece of solid aluminum, and just take a close look at the stitching and the weave on the seats....

To each his own I guess, but when I see a picture of this car I keep thinking, "The Pontiac Aztek can now hold its head up high."
IMHO...that is one ugly car.

You deserve to drive a Pontiac Aztek for the rest of your life, in metallic poop brown with fake wire wheel covers

There is a Giallo 8C on the turntable at The Collection in Miami. Beautiful car but smaller than I expected
