Click above for high-res gallery of pics of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione

It looks like the rest of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competiziones are starting to get into customer hands since that first one was delivered to James Glickenhaus. Last weekend at Motor4Toys we just missed a red one, but it happened to show up this morning at our weekly gathering in Irvine, California. The car drew a huge crowd, who universally praised it for its voluptuous good looks and gorgeous red paint job. The owner drove in and parked, revving it a bit to treat the onlookers. Although we've had the great pleasure of seeing the car in person a few times already, it is still stunning. And it was fun to watch the others seeing it for the first time. This is truly mobile art. Drew and Jonathon happened to be at the show this morning as well and are trying to convince the owner to let them take it for a spin. Hopefully they get their wish, but until then, check out the gallery to see some of my pics along with Drew's typical photographic magic.

I find the exterior, especially the front, looks weird. I'd have to see one in person to really tell, but i personally find it looks way better from the inside than the outside. I like what's under the hood though!

Does anybody know how many 8Cs are in the U.S?

I will guess that this will endure as one of those very rare cars that will never go out of style. In the last few decades cars that are characterized by all around enduring beauty are few and far between. Here we have a pristine example.

I still think the front grill bumper looks ugly, I just don't get alfa styling. "better looking than a 430"? i see that triangle and just think of some type of rodent.

A really sweet sounding, freakin fast and sexy rodent, yes...

Side vents are a destraction from the overall design, rear end looks too much like a bigger '73 Opel GT, otherwise it's good to go.

Looooove the side vents! Hopefully I'll be able to pick up a repro stick on set at Pep Boys soon!

easily the most beautiful production car out right now, and it sounds pretty unique to... less high strung than the F430, more bass, very awesome. Looks like the same one which was at Motors4Toys.

Doug has great taste in cars. His Maserati collection is fantastic, too.

I love in Minneapolis and there is one for sale at one of the local exotic dealerships. Has been for a while actually. I thought the 8C is a nice looking car, but to see one in the flesh is breathtaking. Absolutely stunning.

I live in Minneapolis too - and they've had one for about a week and a half - not exactly a while. Wish I had $330k to buy it.

      Like a beautiful woman...it's georgeous..stunning.. etc
Been at top of my "dream car stable" for some time now...but can only be something to think about until the lottery pays off...that's a delusion though.
