This morning we were patiently awaiting our daily news regarding a new version of the Mustang, and ROUSH came through by sending us a sneak peak of its new RTC Mustang that will be officially unveiled this weekend at the National Mustang Show in Dublin, OH. There's no press release available, but from what we can gather it's a coupe version of the aesthetically-pleasing ROUSH Speedster. Standard equipment includes a special red and black two-tone paint scheme, a 4-piece body kit, upgraded suspension, 20-inch wheels, and more. A supercharger, 14-inch brakes, and a short-throw shifter can also be installed as options. A complete list of features for the RTC package can be found after the jump.

      Well with gas prices the way they are, the only people thats going to buy the Camaro, Challenger, and Mustang are only going to be the GM, Dodge, and Ford fanboys. Everone else will be buying the rice burners and domestics equivalent.

        90% of the "special editions" are not "special editions". They are tuner packages. Lots of tuner packages equates to a very popular car.

      Hard to imagine anything more boring than ANY Mustang. It was a great innovation in 1965, but has been on the decline ever since. At one point, the Mustang was even built from a Ford Pinto chassis--a wretched thing if there ever was one.

      I can see old guys like me showing enthusiasm for a car of the past, but who else?

      Mustangs are best for memories and little else.

        If you complainers are so busy that you can't handle another mustang blog, why read it and take the time to post? Some of you guys just love to hate.
        Get over yourselves, people like mustangs, it's really a fact not an opinion based on sales.
        It's also got to be the number 1 modified car in america, so these companies build the tuner cars, not to sell the cars themselves only, but to promote the sale of the parts on the cars.
        I wish there was moderators on this board to delete posts that are completely irrelevant.

        From a style standpoint, this car is tolerable, i don't much care for the shelby style rims and really dislike the back quarter glass louvers.
        I also don't like that roush uses an eaton m90, good reliable sc, but lacks future potential of more boost because it's undersized. The kit should at least contain an m112.

      What a novelty: the first custom Mustang edition announced in the last 15 minutes.

      If there was another blog, CustomMustangBlog, dedicated to announcing only new Mustang releases, I bet sheer volume of articles will easily exceed all other auto blogs combined.

        Autoblog posts them because they always gain lots of comments. If comments are a gauge of article popularity- I woudl have to say Mustang Articles are popular. Even the haters like you click on the article and post comments. If you really did not like the Mustang variations why do you bother looking at it and then posting? Look at the number of posts this variation gets vs. the number of posts for the Honda Hybrid for examaple. One is a new car and one is on variation 200 and wow, the tired Mustang draws the interest.

        Agreed, and that's exactly why I proposed a dedicated blog (it should automatically refresh every 30 seconds to make sure nothing goes unnoticed) to least all new special Mustang announcement.

      I'm all for customizing a car to one's one specifications, but with every possible tuning house out there making their own version of the same car, it's hard to see where one ends and another begins.

      Besides, how different can they possibly get when there are so many out there?

      Ugly with its clumsy looking front end and drab paint scheme. What's to like about this thing other than its acceleration?

      There are so many lightly customized Mustangs that they lost their appeal long ago.
