Pics Aplenty: Every angle of the Land Rover LRX

In case you missed it yesterday, the Land Rover LRX is the SUV coupe concept the British marque will introduce next month in Detroit. Based on the Freelander, it's shorter, lower, and exceptionally slick-looking. That goes for the interior, too, which uses ambient lighting to communicate what drive mode the truck's in. Red's for sport, green's for off-road, and blue's for normal. Here's hoping that somewhere, a green light's being lit regarding a production version as well. You can check out our original post here. The attached gallery is now stocked with all the currently available media shots as well. We'll crawl all over the LRX and give you firsthand impressions in a few weeks when we get to see it in the metal.

Although it looks very unpractical... it does look great, especially from the back.

I wasn't a fan of the blacked-out A pillar design of the GT-R Proto when it was first released but have since grown to appreciate the design. Same goes for this Land Rover. Although the angle of the front glass and the general proportions of this vehicle make for a very sporty concept coupe, I can't imagine a production vehicle would look all that similar if released.

I am not an SUV fan. I am not a fan of that BMW 6-Ser SUV/ Coupe' thing.
I really like this. Some suede or Alcantara inserts into those beautiful mahogany seats - to stop the inevitable sliding around - would make this just about perfect.

Neat concept. Its kinda funny how in some angles (i.e. above) it looks like a Mini (the carmaker) SUV. Still takes alot from the Ford Edge in my opinion, but it really pulls it off in terms of execution. Good work, L. Rover!

Sure, that is why they hate SUVs that have...
Hatchbacks.
Oh, wait. They buy them by the dozens.
It has little to do with having a hatch or a trunk. It has to do with how the car looks with having one or the other.
Saying that america doesn't like hatchbacks because cars like the Pacer and the Yugo didn't sell all that well is a false conclusion.

I like how they chose green for stomping-around-off-road-crushing-woodland-creatures mode. Heh heh. I like off-roading and drive a big honkin' SUV myself. Just noting the irony.

Something about the interior makes me think of Jag XF concept, you know, back when the XF was still cool.

Nothing new here. Isn't this just an update of the Range Stormer concept?

This is smaller than the range stormer, but much in the same idiom.
Personally, I think it looks great.
I don't need an SUV coupe, but if I needed some rough road capabilities, this would be VERY attractive.

Is it a hatchback or a wagon with a tail-gate?
I don't think that goofy roof-line will make it to production.

I like it. It looks like the Ford Edge's long-lost supermodel sister.
