Jaguar XJSnake
We've all seen, or at least heard of power hungry Jaguar owners transplanting Chevy V8's into their shagmobiles, but this takes the cake. Not wanting to be caught with a mere small block, this Jag owner assured his cat's fleet-footedness by transplanting the heart of a snake under the hood. Take a close look at the pictures. That's a 500+ cubic inch Viper V10! We hope the rest of the car was upgraded as well, or this cat's bite will be the least of his concerns.

now if only Jaguar will do away with their old engines and design something from scratch that could muster at least 450HP without the superchargers they always use, they may get some of their honor back,
otherwise it's a car for suckers who have too much $$

That Supra in the background looks just like mine! Only way nicer... Anybody looking to buy an '88 Supra? Haha.
This is pretty cool, but I think I might like that Barracuda with the Viper motor I saw at the NAIAS a couple years ago.

Seems like a waste of a sweet engine...but hey, to each his own.

Its a long time since I saw an XJS as nice as this, old XJSs are almost unsaleable in the english second hand market due to the fuel consumption, high price of gas and the Lucas (prince of darkness) electrics. Regularly see them at less than $1000, even the Stig drove one off an aircraft carrier!

Here is the link for the shop that did the install. They are the same ones that did the Volvo V8 install for Paul Newman, I posted their link in the Volvo V8 comments Monday. I guess Carscoop checked out the site since they found this.
There are more photos of the 'Jiper' on the site, before/during/after the swap, including these few which it appears Carscoop lifted from the site.

That must be a very well balanced combo. Cheeze filled suspension, chassis made of cardboard hardened rubber, 500 hp engine, weight well distributed too. And safe, let's not forget about safe.
