VIDEO: Bicyclist outruns cops in high speed chase
Now, we certainly don't want to look like we condone this sort of thing, but OMG is this hilarious! A biker manages to evade police during a freeway chase and even wreck a cruiser in the process. Might not sound too special until you realize the "bike" is a bicycle, not a motorcycle. This guy is really flying here. Amazing speed and good instincts let this criminal slip away. No word on what he was wanted for or if he was caught yet, so if you know the rest of the story, please share.
Nice two-wheel tip, Brian!

Man, I don't expect the same stuff from a blog that I would from a newspaper or more traditional media outlet, but come on...this is pretty obviously a fake.

Might be a good idea to actually investigate before posting.
Score 1 for 7of7, -20 for autoblog.

+21 to AutoBlog.

Hah!
Sounds about right for a self-described "Saab Pilot".
The -20 points comes from the fact that some autoblog writer believed it to be real, when it is, in fact, a fake used as an ad for bicycles. Funny or not, autoblog's still dumb.

22 for naivity then.
It's a highly underrated quality these days.---Ed.-Fake or not, we don't condone this type of riding and still think it is one of the funniest things we've seen since monkey balls.

TedK (#13), if autoblog's so "dumb", why are so many smart guys like you reading it everyday?

Arguing on the internet is a little like being in the Special Olympics. Win or lose, you're still retarded.

So what is the big deal here anyway? I saw a similar thing happen just the other day when a local cowboy ran his horse into a hairpin, late braked, and undercut the F-1 driver in the turn to pull off the pass. The really interesting thing was he had the hay boost turned down until after the apex, where he kicked it in to maintain position. Too bad he thru a left front shoe in the backstrech, or he might have pulled off the upset. He later claimed that he had position on the F-1 driver, but that he cut him off so badly that he lost traction just enough to loosen the fresh shoe he just had put on two laps back. Bicycles? Not even close.
