Spy Shot: 2007 BMW 6-Series
The 2007 BMW 6-Series will feature a minor facelift, and an undisguised mule has been snapped undergoing testing at the Nurburgring. How minor a facelift? Well, you'd probably have to put the new one next to an old one to tell the difference.
Purely cosmetic changes seem limited to a revised front bumper, with the integrated fog lights moving slightly closer to the center. Mechanically, the car is expected to remain the same, though the twin-turbo six might find its way into the lineup.
The 6's styling is a love-it-or-hate-it affair, so if you like the Bangle design you won't be disappointed, but if you were hoping for a revolutionary redesign, you'll be waiting a while longer.

What needs changing is the hideous rear of this car, which of course, probably won't happen.

HOW UNIQUE!!! A car buff article knocking BMW styling and referring to Chris Bangle! Meanwhile, the cars are selling, and they are not confused with Kias and Camrys, as the Mercedes C and E classes that the writers never knock. In fact, just as a guess, I would venture that the present 6 series has outsold all 6 and 8 series cars total for many years back. f
--I dont own a BMW, but I do like many of them. To those of us who actually like the 6 series, unlike the writer, new front is instantly recognizable -- nice!!

The 6 is the only decent-looking Bimmer on the market. The rest seem like chunky boxes on wheels.

I never became a fan of the 6 series or the 7 series.

The 6-series and 3-series were NOT designed by Bangle. Following the debacles of 7 and 5 series they were designed by Adrian van Hooydonk, a Dutch.

Thanks for your ranting and raving, Bob. Like I said, the styling on the 6-Series is a love-it-or-hate-it affair. Clearly you love it to the point of beligerence, but if you take another look at the article, you'll see I didn't express my opinion one way or another. But for the record, I think it's hideous. What a crying shame for such a technically great automaker to produce such wretch-inducing designs.
