During the early 1990s, not every family needing a capacious hauler opted for a minivan or SUV. Some still followed the traditions of their forefathers and bought station wagons with faux-wood exterior panels. Here's one in a San Francisco Bay Area self-service wrecking yard.
The Audi R8's won a lot of admiration for its avant-garde styling, and those side blades are perhaps the supercar's most interesting styling feature. One owner, however, evidently wasn't satisfied with the carbon-fiber or aluminum finish, so he came up with a different approach that's considerably more... down to Earth.
